Galapagos Diving tips

  • Not all the sites are for the same level of experience. There are sites for beginners, intermediates, and experts.
  • We consider divers beginners at 5 to 30 dives logged; intermediates 30 to 100, experienced more than 100.
  • Although we do dive with beginners, we generally recommend an intermediate level of diving skills and experience for Galápagos. 
  • Minimum age to dive 12 years old.
  • Our dive limit is 25 meters or 80 feet and no one can dive alone.
  • The dive sites could be changed or cancelled depending on the weather or sea conditions.
  • Travel time may vary according to sea conditions.
  • Dives depend on the sea conditions (Currents, wind, visibility, temperature, surge and other variables).Therefore we can't promise that you will be able to see all the animals mentioned here.
  • Currents are unpredictable and may be negligible or up to 3 knots.
  • Spearfishing is forbidden.
  • Since April 2001 there is an hiperbaric chamber in Galápagos.
